POSITIONS VACANT

Applications are invited from Pakistani nationals for appointment on a purely contractual basis, for a duration of one year (extendable based on performance) against temporary posts in the PSDP project titled "Gene Editing of Biological Agents for Nutritional, Biochemical, and Therapeutic Purposes" at PCSIR Labs Complex, Ferozepur Road, Lahore. The positions are on a lump-sum pay basis. Details are as follows:

1. Research Officers (PPS-7)

Qualification and Experience: Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Synthetic Biology, Metabolic Engineering, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, or related fields, with relevant research experience. Candidates should have experience in CRISPR/Cas systems and/or handling automated fermenters.
Responsibilities: Conduct research and development in the assigned field, operate and maintain project-related activities.
Number of Posts: 01

2. Research Associate (PPS-6)

Qualification and Experience: MS in Biotechnology, Synthetic Biology, Metabolic Engineering, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related fields, with relevant research experience. Experience in CRISPR/Cas systems and/or handling automated fermenters is preferred.
Responsibilities: Perform assigned tasks and maintain project-related activities.

3. Admin Officer (PPS-7)

Qualification and Experience: M.Sc./MA (Economics) with excellent communication skills and at least 5 years of experience in office administration, accounts, or human resource management in the public sector. Experience in PSDP projects is preferred.
Responsibilities: Manage accounts, administrative tasks, and other project-related matters.
Number of Posts: 01

4. Lab Technicians (PPS-5)

Qualification and Experience: B.Sc. or equivalent with 2-3 years of experience in R&D organizations or the public sector.
Responsibilities: Perform tasks related to lab/pilot plants and other project-related activities.
Number of Posts: 02

5. Office Assistants (PPS-5)

Qualification and Experience: B.A./B.Com or equivalent with 2-3 years of experience in R&D organizations or the public sector, preferably in PSDP projects.
Responsibilities: Assist in office and project-related tasks.
Number of Posts: 01

Additional Information:

Selection will be based purely on merit.
Applications must include a CV, attested copies of CNIC, Domicile Certificate, Education Degrees/Certificates, and one recent passport-size photograph.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for a test/interview.
No TA/DA will be provided for attending the test/interview.

The positions are purely on a contractual basis, with no prospects for regularization.
The selection committee reserves the right to withhold the appointment if no suitable candidates are found.
