Applications are invited from qualified candidates for the position of Legal Consultant on a fixed pay contract basis for a period of two (2) years, extendable based on satisfactory performance. Applications should be sent to P.O. Box No. 1418, GPO, Islamabad.

Domicile: Merit
Place of Posting: Islamabad
Qualification: LLM/LLB with 5 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.

Job Description:

Handling all cases related to the Supreme Court of Pakistan and High Courts.
Managing cases pertaining to other courts, forums, and tribunals.
Providing legal opinions on constitutional and legal matters.
Performing any additional legal work as assigned by the Commission.

Eligibility Criteria:

Disqualification:

Applicants who have been dismissed from service as a result of disciplinary actions.
Candidates with involvement in other business/job that could create a conflict of interest.
Individuals removed from Government Service due to unsatisfactory performance or moral/financial turpitude.
Candidates convicted by a court for an offense involving moral turpitude.

Conflict of Interest:

The selected candidate must resign from their current employment, if applicable, and may not engage in any other business or employment that might affect their performance as a Legal Consultant.
An affidavit declaring non-involvement in any conflicting business/job is required.

Termination of Contract:

The contract may be terminated upon completion of the tenure or with one month's notice from either party.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

The performance of the Legal Consultant will be monitored by the Hon'ble Chief Election Commissioner.

Applicability of Other Rules:

Rules applicable to civil servants at the corresponding level will apply in matters not specified.
