Career Opportunities

The University of Karachi is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions in the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC):

1. Research Associates (3 Positions)

Job Status: Full-Time Contractual
Academic Qualification: M.Phil. or equivalent (Minimum 18 Years of Education). Preference will be given to candidates with one or two publications in WOS/HEC-recognized journals. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Experience: One year of relevant working experience is preferred.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Qualitative and Quantitative Research
- Entrepreneurial Mindset
- Event Management
- Knowledge of Intellectual Property
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in MS Office, SPSS, PLSM, NVIVO
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.

2. Administrative Assistants (2 Positions)

Job Status: Full-Time Contractual
Job Overview: Provide administrative support to the ORIC. Responsibilities include managing schedules, organizing meetings and events, handling correspondence, and performing various administrative duties to ensure the smooth operation of the Directorate Office.
Academic Qualification: BBA/BS/BCOM or equivalent (Minimum 16 Years of Education). Enrolled students in ACCA/ACMA/CIMA are also encouraged to apply. IT professionals with CCNA/CCNP certifications are preferred.
Experience: One year of relevant working experience is preferred.
Skills:
- Event Management
- Good Interpersonal Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.

Qualifications: Degrees/certificates must be from universities/boards/institutions recognized by HEC.
