The Reconciliation Cell, Energy Department, Government of Punjab, invites applications from suitable and enthusiastic candidates domiciled in Punjab to fill the following posts for the projects "Reconciliation of Government Electricity Billing by Installing AMI Meters (Pilot Project)" and "Reconciliation of Government Electricity Billing by Installing AMI Meters (2 Phase)." These positions are on a contract basis for a period of three (03) years, extendable based on satisfactory performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Accountant

   • Qualification: Master’s degree (16 years of education) in Accounting from an HEC-recognized university or B.Com (2nd division) with 3 years of experience as an Accountant.
   • Age Limit: 21-30 years.

2. Junior Computer Operator

   • Qualification: (a) Higher Secondary School Certificate (2nd division) and knowledge of MS Office or (b) Intermediate in Computer Science (2nd division) with typing speed of 40 words per minute in English.
   • Age Limit: 18-25 years.

3. Junior Clerk

   • Qualification: Higher Secondary School Certificate (2nd division) with typing speed of 25 words per minute in English. Preference for candidates who know Urdu typing.
   • Age Limit: 18-25 years.

4. Test Assistant

   • Qualification: Diploma in Associate Engineering (Electrical or Electronics) from a recognized Technical Board.
   • Age Limit: 18-25 years.

5. I.T. Clerk

   • Qualification: (a) Secondary School Certificate and Diploma in Information Technology with 1-year experience or (b) Intermediate in Computer Science (2nd division).
   • Age Limit: 18-25 years.

6. Meter Installer

   • Qualification: Secondary School Certificate from a recognized Board.
   • Age Limit: 18-25 years.

Application Process:

• Applications for positions BPS-11 and above (Sr. No. 1 to 5) must be submitted online at: www.jobs.punjab.gov.pk.
• Applications for BPS-06 (Meter Installer) should be submitted on plain paper to the Office of Chief Engineer, Reconciliation Cell, 27-Jahangir Park, LOS Road, New Mozang, Lahore. Include attested copies of all relevant documents (education certificates, CNIC, domicile, experience letters, and three recent passport-sized photographs).

 

Additional Information:

1. Five (05) years of relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for males and eight (08) years for females.
2. Government employees must apply through the proper channel.
3. Recruitment will be conducted strictly on merit, following the Rules, eligibility criteria, selection criteria, and provisions of the Contract Appointment Policy-2004 of S&GAD, amended as necessary.
4. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for the test/interview.
5. No TA/DA will be provided for attending tests/interviews.
6. Reserved quotas: 15% for females, 3% for disabled individuals, and 5% for minorities.
7. Transgender candidates are encouraged to apply.
8. Deadline for applications: 04 November 2024, by 04:00 PM.
