Pakistan Railways Headquarters Office Lahore invites applications for the engagement of retired supervisory staff from the Mechanical Carriage & Wagon Department on a contract basis for a period of one year. Suitable candidates who have retired upon reaching superannuation (i.e., at 60 years of age) are encouraged to apply for the positions listed below, subject to physical fitness.

Age Limit:

Maximum age limit is 62 years.

Terms and Conditions for Contract Appointment:

Only candidates who have worked in the above categories are eligible for contract appointments.
Selected candidates will receive a salary in accordance with their last drawn pay in BS-06, BS-09, BS-12 & BS-14, along with usual allowances as per contract appointment rules. They will not be entitled to gratuity or pension.
The initial contract period is one year, extendable for an additional year if required by Pakistan Railways.
The competent authority reserves the right to reject any application for contract appointment without providing a reason.
The number of posts may change without notice.
Selected candidates must pass a medical fitness examination at a Pakistan Railways Hospital.
Candidates who retired due to compulsory removal, dismissal, or medical grounds are not eligible for appointment.
Call letters will only be issued to candidates eligible for contract appointments.
No TA/DA will be provided for candidates attending interviews and medical examinations.
Selected candidates may be posted anywhere within the Railway System.
